You need to spend less time wondering if matchmaking sites are legit, and more time wondering if the place that you’re taking your date is legit. Even if you met her on a crappy site like Mingle2.com, you still need to be able to take her to a place that’s going to be a ton of fun for both of you. This is something that’s going to reign true no matter who you’re with, and these are the locations that are really just going to end up sucking for both of you. Skip these places, and you’ll definitely be in a better spot.

Movie Theaters No More!

Back in the day, it goes without saying that movie theaters were definitely the staple of any date. To be fair, however, there wasn’t exactly much of anything else to do, and that’s the kind of thing that’s going to really end up rearing its ugly head time and time again as far as a ‘basic’ date goes. That’s why you just need to avoid these altogether.

Even if you met your date on Mingle2.com, you don’t need to subject her to this. The issue with movie theaters nowadays is that they’re a dark, enclosed area where you honestly can’t sit down and talk to anyone. You’re going to have to be quiet for a solid two hours, and that means that you’re basically spending time with your popcorn and a big screen, not the date that’s right next to you. That just doesn’t fly, especially on first dates that you really need to chatter on and get to know her better on, so remember this fact.

When it comes to locations like this, it’s going to honestly be up to you–but you can see that the issues with it are pretty problematic. You really aren’t going to want to deal with a location that you can’t even get to know your date in, and that’s just the kind of thing that’s going to end up ruining your date. You don’t want that to happen, as it might even start to make you question if matchmaking sites are legit or not. Don’t let that happen to you, and just skip this idea in general. It’s just not a good idea.

Loud, Noisy Concerts

This goes right along with the problem that you’ll see with movie theaters but in something of a reverse way. You’re not going to be able to socialize with your date because it’s ultimately a very noisy environment, and that’s going to be the kind of thing that you aren’t going to want to deal with when you’re trying to keep up a conversation. Most of your dates aren’t going to enjoy these kinds of settings unless they’re die-hard fans, anyway, so make sure that you reconsider carefully before making this a date choice that you opt for.

This is the kind of date that’s honestly going to have to be very selectively tried out. If you already know your date and realize that matchmaking sites are legit, then this might be able to work out just fine for you. The last thing that you’re going to want to do is waste a ton of time, money, and effort on a concert that she won’t enjoy, especially if you can’t sit there and talk to her all night. Again, if this works out for you and your girl, then go for it. Just make sure that you follow this on a very careful basis.

Secluded Walks in the Park

A secluded walk in the park might sound like a romantic date to you, but to a woman, it’s really going to end up sending off some warning flags. You have to admit, sounding it back over in your head…it does kind of sound like you’re trying to veer her away from loud, crowded places so that you can end up doing something that’s not exactly kosher. You really don’t want to end up giving that kind of creeper vibe off, so make sure that you’re careful with this sort of thing.

If you do want to take a walk with her, make sure that it’s in some place that’s actually well-lit and with other people. Don’t do this in the middle of the night for both of your sakes. You don’t want to end up making her think that you’re a total creep, of course, but you also just want to make sure that she’s comfortable at all times. It’s one thing to want your new match on your arm; it’s something else for her to be clinging there because she’s terrified of the setting, so be careful with this.

Overtly Romantic Restaurants (With Caution)

While you might want to really impress your new date, you don’t need to take her to the most romantic restaurant in town. That’s really not going to end up impressing her unless the two of you are in a long-term relationship and are celebrating something between the two of you. This is certainly not a suitable for the first, or even a second date that the two of you have had since you met online, and that’s something that you really need to grasp before you end up making those reservations online and spending a ton of money.

There are plenty of other, just as nice restaurant alternatives. You can always take her to a nice restaurant, but it ultimately doesn’t have to be the kind of restaurant that you spend a ton of money on, or that is candlelit to the nth degree. You want her to feel like she’s actually valued, but at the same time, you don’t want to make her feel pressured. Being able to get her into a good restaurant but still not going too far is an art that you’ll have to master and be very conscious of whenever you’re dating.

Run-Down Theme Parks

It was probably a cute idea whenever you were in high school to take your girlfriend out to a theme park that popped up near your school, but it’s honestly not a good idea if you’re trying to take your woman out on a date. This is because ultimately, she isn’t going to be impressed by rickety rides and questionable cotton candy. This isn’t a date for mature people, and that should honestly be pretty obvious at this point in time, so make sure that you don’t ever even try to go this direction unless she’s really on board with the idea.

There are some exceptions to this rule. Maybe the two of you really want to try out something gimmicky for the evening, and you already know that it’s going to be crap. That, of course, is just fine, and you two can really end up having a lot of fun this way. Just don’t do this if you’re really expecting to wow her or take her back on a magic carpet ride or something like that. You don’t want to end up in an awkward situation of suddenly having to talk down the amusement park that is clearly just not very amusing at all…so be careful and smart about the whole arrangement.
